Growing up, I was always a New Akron Bears fan. What can I say? Baseball is my favorite sport. And when the season rolls around, you can feel the excited energy in the streets.
It’s always fun to go toe-to-toe with our rivals, the Capital City Monarchs. It seems like everybody joins in the feud. Families will fight, playfully of course, about which team is best.
Believe me, when the Bears and the Monarchs play, the stadium is filled with fans cheering their hearts out. And the winning team gets citywide bragging rights for another year.
