Next week marks a momentous occasion in the history of New Sienna. The first- ever Commander Day celebration will be held here, in Capital City! Most citizens should know of The Commander’s brave and epic battles in both The Great and Keyoshian Wars. His loss was tragic. This celebration is to remember his valor and honor in defending our great nation and nations abroad. Some say he was the strongest and bravest soldier this realm has ever seen…

Dear Shavonne Thompson,
I think the mayor is a joke. That’s right I said it. He’s a downright laughable, unbelievably ineffective, bumbling idiot of a leader. My mother always told me that if you don’t have anything nice to say, don’t say anything at all. I’ve tried to live by that adage, but today, I simply cannot keep my lips sealed.
How in the world does this fella think that spending more money is going to somehow magically balance the budget? I mean he’s spending big cash on everything from road development, to new hospitals, libraries, you name it, he’s spending it. I even heard some crazy cockamamie investment in inter-dimensional travel?! What’s that all about?
There are hardworking people out here struggling to pay their bills and feed their families. But the guys in charge would rather spend money on ridiculous contraptions to explore parallel worlds? What’s next? Research in unicorns and fairies? What about talking cats and dwarfs? I tell you things are getting real looney out here and I want no parts of it! You hear me?
Sure, I know, everyone wants the city to be the best it can be. And that takes money. I understand that everyone wants to see the city grow. Well, almost everyone. I personally don’t mind the growth slowing down a bit. I’d like to see us grow at a sustainable rate. Anything that grows too quickly, without a solid foundation, is bound to crumble and fall.
That’s the truth, and I outta know a thing or two about it. I’ve been a contractor for over thirty five years now. The only way to build something solid, is to ensure that it has a secure foundation. And that’s what Capital City needs.
I have no desire to live in the “Biggest City in the World” or “The Best City in the World.” I simply want my hometown to remain a safe community for my children, their children and future generations. The only way we can do that is to vote this buffoon out of office.
If you’re tired of the reckless spending and total lack of effective leadership, remember to show up at the polls and vote old man Johnson out!
In Utter Frustration,
A Disgruntled Patriot

It’s that time of year again.
The Capital City International Business League has announced the entrepreneur of the year. Annually, this league of business men and women convene to vote one on the individual who has both contributed and accomplished the most over the previous fiscal year.
It should come as no surprise that Retired Royal General Donovan Vonderdom has won the award. This would be his sixth win since the league was founded only ten years ago. That’s quite a streak! Though there are many who might feel his popularity is due to his being the Founding President of the CCIBL, one cannot deny Vonderdom’s business acumen.
Year after year, The Vonderdom corporation boasts exponential growth of which most entrepreneurs could only dream. The General has ensured that his corporations are diverse, forward thinking and effective in everything they do. And let’s not forget his tremendous philanthropic efforts, both locally in Capital City, across the nation of New Sienna, and beyond our borders, in the lands of Keyosha and Galatia, as well as his family’s homeland of Arkton.
His flawless military career undoubtedly was a great contributor to his current successes. In the history of New Sienna, as we know it, there has never been a more powerful, influential, or successful person.
When asked about his 6th win as “Business Man of The Year,” he had this to say:
“My family’s patriarch, Dorian Vonderdäm, was one of the founding fathers of our great nation. He is one of my inspirations, and it’s always been my goal to be make him proud. When faced with a difficult decision, I’ve often asked myself, ‘What would Dorian decide?’ The answer that follows has always been deliberate, even if some might have considered it ruthless. But what can I say, all is fair in war and business.”
We also asked Vonderdom how he felt about the future of The Vonderdom Corporation and its holdings.
“I feel very confident about our continued growth into the near future and beyond. The future of our company depends on great thinkers and ferocious spirits. Not just mine, but the brilliant and highly motivated, young minds that are coming up through our ranks.”
On a final note, We queried Vonderdom about his feelings on the recent string of robberies hitting his family bank. The General was uncharacteristically silent on the matter. It seems that was a sore spot for him, and understandably so. The loss of over 2.3 Million Dolaars is no small situation. We’ll keep our eyes open in anticipation of how this all plays out.
How will the six time Business Man of the Year rebound from such a loss?
Only time will tell.
