Welcome to The ACU Experience! We’re Mannie and Zee, co-creators of Adroit Comics. All of our lives we’ve been drawing pictures and telling stories.
When we had kids, we knew how important they were to us. As we learned more about their personalities and learning needs, we decided to teach them ourselves! That began our journey as Homeschoolers. For the last 14 years, we’ve worked to raise our kids to be bright, loving, caring, and compassionate humans.
One day, in 2017, Zee took a giant leap and began teaching English to children in China. Luckily, she didn’t have to fly all the way to China to do her teaching. She worked with a new company to teach classes on the internet. It was a little scary at first, but she didn’t give up!
After teaching with other companies, we decided to launch our own reading program to help kids in America who truly need our help. Both of our families are filled with educators. So it was only natural that we became teachers as well. The name of our program is The Flowing Rivers Center for Learning. It’s our mission to help families receive the best education possible, even if they don’t have a lot of money.
Adroit Comics and Adroit Comics Jr. were born from our desire to make fun and exciting books that kids will want to read again and again. We know the power of reading and want to be a positive force in the lives of children across the world. Join us as we play, sing, and dance with joy, laughter, and love!
